The Web of Support

Students build awareness of mental well-being while identifying common sources of mental health challenges. Through open discussion, students examine barriers that prevent boys from seeking support, learn to recognize mental health as a normal part of overall wellness, and brainstorm different forms of support around them, including personal coping mechanisms, peer networks, trusted adults, and professional resources.

THIS MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF...

You’ve got young men in your classroom or program who are struggling — but they’re not reaching out. You see the weight they’re carrying, the wall that goes up when you ask how they’re doing, the reluctance to lean on anyone. This session is for programs that want to help boys build the mindset and skills to actually use the support around them.

WHAT WE'LL COVER

● Mental health & well-being
● Independence & asking for help

WHERE IT WORKS

The Web of Support was designed for school environments and works well in nonprofit youth programs. It’s most effective in settings where facilitators have already established some trust with the group and can create conditions for honest conversation about mental health.
