The Art of Facilitating With Boys & Young Men

This hands-on session teaches participants the practical skills needed to successfully engage boys in programming and conversations. Participants will explore three core facilitation principles: using effective entry points to get boys in the door and into conversations, taking a strengths-based approach that builds on their existing capacities, and using relational pedagogy to create the trusted connections through which meaningful learning happens. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to design programming that answers boys’ fundamental question: “What’s in it for me?”
